A "Tri-Fold Leaflet" (also known as a two sided brochure or two sided flyer) is a brochure or leaflet containing three panels made by creating two folds in a sheet of paper/card 

This design for leaflets and brochures is very popular, the Tri-Fold provides a front cover & back cover with flap and an inner spread, so it lends itself to a menu, mini booklet or exhibition brochure.

Z-Fold Leaflets

The Z Fold leaflet design is named because the two fold flyers resemble the letter Z as they open if your design adds three folds or more, the leaflet quickly start to look like an accordion.

The classic Z-Fold leaflet (two folds) offers a creative design of three double sides or six pages, three front, three back, adding in more folds creates more pages from the same brochure/leaflet page.

Which Material is best for my Leaflet Design?

The Printer Graphics recommendation for Tri-Fold or Z-Fold Leaflet Design is to use a paper thickness for these types of folded leaflet of between 150gsm to 170gsm or less.  There is a risk with thicker materials that the folds will crack the material.
